Lewer Team Shines at Light The Night Walk
After months of fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), members of the Lewer U.S. team recently gathered at Cleveland University in Kansas City, Missouri for The Light The Night Walk. The annual event funds life-saving research and support for people battling cancer. Participants carried illuminated lanterns: white for survivors, red in support and gold in memory of a lost loved one.
Many who attended the event paid tribute to survivors and those they’ve lost by visiting The Garden of Memory and Hope. A special memorial ceremony was held just prior to the 7:30 p.m. walk which was led by the division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
“Thanks to the work of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and those who support the society’s important mission, more families are seeing loved ones beat this disease,” said Lewer’s HR Manager and 2016 LLS fundraiser coordinator, Sue Steiner. (263)
