Lewer Switches Student Insurance Business in Washington to London Carrier
Last spring, and following a series of meetings in Kansas City and London, the LewerMark team announced an agreement with a new carrier, Sirius International Insurance Corporation. Sirius replaced Lewer’s previous carrier (Trustmark) in states outside of Washington, effective June 1, 2016.
Representatives from Underwriter Brit Global Specialty, Andrew Bowers, Divisional Director Accident and Health, and Mike Barry, Head of Claims Short Tail and Energy, along with Anne Davis, Senior Vice President Business Development from Coverholder Global Benefits Group, were recently in Kansas City to meet with Lewer, the Third-Party Administrator, as part of the launching of the new Washington plan.
“The focus of the meeting was the LewerMark inbound student collegiate insurance for the state of Washington,” said Lewer Vice President Robert Stompoly.
According to the websites, both companies are strong players in an increasingly global world. GBG is the largest independent, fully integrated provider of international benefits in the world. Lloyd’s market company, Brit Global Specialty, has a proven track record working with clients to respond to complex claims in a timely and efficient manner with the company’s highly experienced and dedicated Accident & Health claims specialists.
“It was a pleasure to introduce our LewerMark partner to the Brit Syndicate 2987 at Lloyd’s, the Underwriter for the Inbound Washington Collegiate Schools,” said Davis. “LewerMark passed the required inspection with flying colors. I believe the GBG/Lewer partnership is one built on trust, honesty and integrity and it is an honor to work with such a respected Company as LewerMark.” (250)
